Furniture show at Expo from March 9-12
THE International Furniture Fair Singapore 2010/27th Asean Furniture Show will be held at the Singapore Expo from March 9 to March 12. The show will take up 60,000 sq m at halls 3 to 8 with more than 15,000 visitors expected.
River Hongbao 2010 gets 790,000 visitors
RIVER Hongbao 2010 closed on Saturday after seeing more than 790,000 visitors over the course of the nine-day event. The turnout was more than double organisers' expectations and included 7,000 visitors from different constituencies and about 2,000 residents having their traditional lo hei dinners on site.
Barclays to sponsor 'Bare Your Sole' walk
BARCLAYS Bank has become the title sponsor of Habitat for Humanity's 'Bare Your Sole five-km barefoot charity walk which seeks to highlight the plight of people in the region living in poverty without any footwear. The Habitat-Barclays Bare Your Sole 2010 event will take place on June 5 at East Coast Park and will raise funds to help enhance the living conditions of poor people in Asia by assisting them to build and improve their housing.
